We are thrilled to announce that ReLeafHubs, a project under CeADAR Ireland’s Lighthouse Projects Programme, has been recognized as a Finalist in the Sustainability Category at the prestigious 2023 AI Awards. This acknowledgment underscores the innovation and impact of our AI-driven solutions in transforming remote work and promoting environmental sustainability.

The AI Awards, hosted annually by AI Ireland, celebrate groundbreaking applications of artificial intelligence across various domains. The Sustainability Category recognizes projects that use AI to address environmental challenges and contribute to sustainable development.

Led by Dr. Alireza Dehghani, ReLeafHubs leverages cutting-edge AI technologies to create Remote Working Hubs (RWHs) that:

• Reduce commuting to minimize carbon emissions.
• Promote eco-friendly practices by integrating renewable energy sources.
• Support local communities by stimulating regional economies.

Our project combines:

• AI Recommender Systems to help users find the most suitable hubs.
• AI Digital Twins (AIDTs) to monitor and optimize energy consumption and user experiences.
• Synthetic Data Models to simulate user behavior and improve hub design.

These innovations align with Ireland’s net-zero goals and offer a scalable, sustainable solution to the evolving demands of remote work.

ReLeafHubs is honored to share the spotlight with other incredible projects, including those addressing neonatal health, Parkinson’s diagnosis, and machine learning transparency. This recognition highlights our commitment to applying AI for social good and environmental impact.
